So as most of you may or may not know, i was blessed with a job at Fashion Week in Miami. Mercedes Benz hosts one of the biggest Fashion weeks of the summer in Miami, in addition to the one they do in New York, so of course I was happy as a clam to be apart of it. To be honest, my job isnt what u think it would be. Im not doing anything big, im just a gopher (go for this, go for that kinda stuff) but shit, even diddy had to start at the bottem of the totem pole, so im not complaing one fuckin bit. Anywho, i always knew there was hella shit going on behind the scences at fashion shows but damn was i surised when i showed up for my first day of work this mourning. Basicly, after having 100 cases of patron droped off, we had to move them all behind the huge ass tent, which took a lil under 2 hours. After that we moved a bunch of other random shit here and there. I spent 10hrs moving shit really. The only reason i made it through the day was due to me being hyped up on Coffee and Coconut Milk that we decieded was ripe enough to eat (it wasnt at all).
The shows and parties dont start untill tomorrow so thats when i'll really get to expreince the industry. None the less, it took at least 50 of us grunts to get shit ready, and we still got more to do at 8am 2morrow lol. Still, it was all good times, not to mention all the fine look models walking around lol. But todays highlight was discovering that whatever isnt used by the end of the week, we get to keep...HELLA FREEBIES FOR ME lol. Anywho, this is just part one of my experince with Fashion Week, part 2 will come soon...
