Weekly Rant: Back in the day...

So i've been watching alot of Spike Lee movies and listening to a bunch of old school hip-hop for the past few days and im kind of annoyed by alot of things in this day and age. So i decided to ask this question: What happened to the old days? when i say "old days", im not just talking about 20 years ago, i'm also talking about 200 years ago. To me, it seems like we as people, in these last 100 or so years, have let money take over our everyday life. How could a simple green square of paper make us become so self centered and evil? I chose "Things done changed" by B.I.G because the song makes a good point. We've gone from settling our problems with words and fists, to shooting mother fuckers just because they look at you funny. There was a point and time where if someone came at you the wrong way, the worst that happened to that person was a black-eye here or there. After that, you pretty much got the respect you deserved. Now a days, niggas always wanna put a bullet in someone to prove a point. but what does that prove? that you can shoot? that dont really make you a man if you ask me.
